Ah, low rise jeans. We have been brain-washed to think that they are flattering. I beg to disagree. Unless you have a marvelous body, you look like this!

Mom jeans have been getting a bad rap for a couple of decades now. I like a jean that sits on my WAIST, that doesn't have 12 inches of gap at the back, doesn't show my crack (no one wants to see that) doesn't create a muffin top and does define what waist I have left.

Great point...maybe they are both bad. jeans should hit right under the bellybutton but not below the hip...
Haven't worn jeans in (now I must do some serious math) 42 years!
Amen! Anyone with junk in their trunk or jelly in the belly shouldn't wear low rise jeans. And that's what...80% of the american public! I constantly get tormented about my Mom jeans.
Honestly even if you are a size 2, I have no desire to see the crack of your butt nor your thong strap, regardless of your age. You want to show off your tramp stamp - join a circus as a tatooed lady!
Being a mother of three and in my 40's I am proud to wear my Mom jeans and am comfortable in doing so.
Thanks Carolyn, I'm with you.
