Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top o' the morning to you. I am hoping that one of the movie channels will run "The Quiet Man", a wonderful movie with John Wayne and Maureen O'hara directed by John Ford. Maureen O'hara is spectacular in this film. There is a long disturbing scene where she is dragged along by Wayne but check out an excellent article on the film  for background:  http://www.ferdyonfilms.com/?p=367

 There is a great scene which should be the definition of "donnybrook".

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Here's to cheating, stealing, fighting and drinking.

If you cheat, may it be a death;

if you steal, may it be a heart;

if you fight, may it be for your Friend;

and if you drink, may it be with me.

Please be aware that the image is a tinkered 19th century reproduction. I did not paint it.

See what I'm eating now!

I blend a couple of tablespoons of crushed flax seeds, hemp hearts, lecithin and powdered greens with some yogurt and a little homemade jam for a fruit flavor. It looks disgusting but actually doesn't taste too bad. My naturopath has me eating this daily. I figure I should have a really shiny coat pretty soon.

I also made a couple bottles of homemade Bailey's liquor to celebrate St. Patrick's Day yesterday. It is even yummier!
