Happy Birthday Abe!

Canadians for Abraham Lincoln. We celebrated Abe's 200th birthday by walking in a parade from is house (pictured above) to the Old Courthouse (downtown Springfield). We rang bells and carried lanterns. There were people in period costume.
President Obama was in town for a banquet. We didn't get to see him, but this very important person stepped out to the portico of the courthouse to thank us for his birthday wishes!
