Sewing Room is operational....
This just makes me happy. I put some of my favorite paintings by local painters, family photos and my own paintings around to keep me company. Now I just need some time to sew.

Going Graphic
This is a kimono dress I sewed because I liked the graphic print. It's been a long time since I have posted on the Not Dead Yet Style blog, so here we go. Check out other fashion ideas at: http://notdeadyetstyle.com/smart-woman-short-dress-visible-monday

French Housedress--vogue 8813
I made this pattern some time ago and learned from the mistakes I made then. This is a Marcy Tilton design and I like the flowing style of it. It feeds into my fondness for lagenlook. I scored about 6-8 metres of raw silk at a thrift store so I felt I had to use it up. I used huge vintage buttons on the pockets.
With a cashmere sweater and a silk scarf, I'm ready for cooler weather.
