A two-story unit. The buildings had a lovely sense of calm about them. And you will have to visit to see how sound is affected in them. The curved walls affect how you hear noise differently than in a rectangle house. There would be no secrets in a dome house. Meditation with an OM or a bell would be amazing!
It was a great respite before the moving frenzy that will be taking place over the next few days. I wish I could build a home like the dome!!
p.s. if you go visit (and you should) tell Joan that Paula sent you.
Crazy Ravens Studio is about to depart on a new adventure! We sold our house back in November in preparation for Bruce finding a new administrative post. We had a cozy rental through the winter, with thanks to our lovely landlords but now, like the geese and swans, we are moving on.
We are relocating in New Denver, BC. I have been packing for weeks. I am anxious to get moved and start decorating my new house and learning about my new town. I owe so much to so many people in the East Kootenies. It was here that I became a working artist, something I had dreamed about for years. I hope I find as good friends and colleagues in the West Kootenies.
Throw caution to the wind and take a chance with color. This little painting never got much attention in it's previous life so it has been updated.
I toned down and changed the color of the background as it was in too much competition with the hen. The hen was a bit too literal so now she will be a match for my willow pattern dinner plates. I still like her determined attitude. Do you think she is going to cross the road?
I am an acrylic painter exploring color and texture. I like horses, Canadian wildlife, old trucks, bold women, kind men, tequila and cashews. Most paintings are for sale. Contact me for prices and shipping if you are interested in purchasing a painting. And thanks for viewing my blog!
