Another ruffle quilt

LJ ruffle quilt

I found the cute figure and text fabric years ago and was saving if for when my daughters had children. I cut out pieces of it and zigzagged it onto the gingham backing and then made it into a ruffle quilt. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

Ruffle quilts/wonky cross

Rio ruffle quilt

I am not really a quilter. I lackthe patience or precision. However, I wanted to make something for my newly arrived grand babies and chose to make a wonky cross comforter for each grandchild.

Kathy, who owns our fabulous local Sew Much More
  ( https://www.facebook.com/sewmuchmoreyarn/store )
suggested the fabrics above and I loved them. I found the wonky cross tutorials on the internet and you tube. Many snips and a couple of washings later, I had a comforter for a little boy.

I used my remaining fabrics and added more orange to make a comforter for a little girl. I get sick of seeing girls only offered the options of pink or lavendar.
