"Journey"    large collage, maps, drawings, truck parts.

From my Cariboo College days. I learned not to make a painting bigger than I could fit into my car!

Self-portrait with Straw hat

I was inspired by the all the portraits I have seen lately and decided to take one more shot at a self-portrait. Working from photos is always a challenge because there is never enough information but it beats holding a mirror in one hand.

Happy Winter Solstice!

This is a portrait I made of myself wearing my solstice headdress. It even jingles. I posted it on "Artists Paint Themselves" a blog for artist's self portraits:

Please check it out, some of the portraits are astonishingly strong.

Back Then

This is a photo of me when I was a college student. I was taking a photography course and we had to develop our own film. I had a friend take the shot while I was sitting in my dorm room window. It is still one of my favorite photos of myself. I especially like how it captured my freckles.
