I am way behind in my painting but I have some images that I want to start on. Until the new paintings start to roll out, I will post some older ones.

Yesterday, I felt sick and sad but not today. Let the resistance movement begin. Way to go, Women's March on Washington. Your friends in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna BC are supporting you in Canada.

Recommended workshops

If anyone can recommend a painting workshop in 2017, (date must be later than June) I would like to hear of it. I like figure painting and abstract. I have taken workshops with Robert Burridge and Ted Nuttall, so I would like to try someone else. Please leave a comment. Thanks,

Don't just stand there, do something....

In Nakusp...

 First you ink up your plate and add your printing material.

 You place your paper over the plate, rub and make your first print

 You remove your material, place a piece of paper down and make your "ghost" print

 Then you play and continue to add colors and layers.

Columbia Basin Culture Tour 2016

 I decided to show with the Slocan Valley Community Arts Council group at the Crescent Valley hall this year. Last year, I had open house and only had 12 people drop in.

 

There were several artists showing at the hall. We had over 200 people visit over the 2 days.

 We shared information and techniques. I made several contacts for future sales and classes.

 It was lovely having other artists to talk to.

I look forward to repeating the experience next year. Thanks Columbia Basin Culture Tour.
