Imagery meets Narrative
Jessica Gowling developed this show. Each participant was sent a print that had information about the show and how to proceed. The print text was included as part of the artwork. Ms. Gowling then collected and held a show of these works inCalgary. She has a second show happening at Pynelogs beginning May 26. I am looking forward to viewing the works ( some 25-30 pieces.
Jessica also made a book of the exhibit on Blurb. What a cool site!! I want to make my own art books and perhaps a history of my parents.

Oiseaux
This is the piece of art I indulged myself with from Wings Over the Rockies. Casja Fredin (I hope I am spelling this right, her signature is difficult to read) makes wonderful wood and metal assemblages. I was still kicking myself for not buying the big piece that she had at Pynelogs last year. But I brought this little object home!

How I spent my weekend
I helped Bruce with his home show event on Friday night and saturday.
For anyone that does not know, Bruce's business is Headwaters Development Consulting. He helps people to make applications if they want to subdivide, rezone or just split a lot off of their property. He discovered that 20 years as an approving officer for municipalities made him uniquely qualifed for the business.

Canal Walk
I've been too busy with other things to get painting done. Argh!
Bruce and I lead a small group of people to see the old canal that Canal Flats is named for. It was part of the "Wings over the Rockies" festival. We had a close-up flyby by a pair of handsome ospreys. Beautiful warm spring weather.
I decided to get some garden work done because the rest of the week is forecast cold and rainy and that will be a good time to paint!
