Brassica #!

This is one of the new paintings that will be in the Kimberley show. I am rather happy with this one. Cool blue tones are a departure for me but I like how it turned out.

I am hoping to become involved with the local food movement, looking at where and how are food is coming from, moving it back to the community. I think food and art would be wonderfully combined.

I sincerely want to thank Tony at Strand's restaurant in Inveremere for letting me and fellow artists show paintings in his beautiful restaurant.

Wow, Paula - I think this is stunning! I love the colors - and I agree; what better illustration/s can there be for the promoting of fresh food?

Paula - This is one amazing painting! The translucency of the leaves is breathtaking. Beautiful cool colors and I love the way your single subject fills the entire picture area.

Congratulations on your show at Centre 64. We're both fortunate to have our art out there in the world - at galleries. Thank you for your very supportive comments. I'm very excited about doing figure painting. Keep up your good work! Marie

This one is gorgeous Paula. Dramatic use of colour, and great composition too.
