BAck to FArm Chicks

It's that time of year, the time for the Farm Chicks show in Spokane. We take a meandering route instead of the main highway. There is a great used vehicle spot that has lots of lovely rusting junkers that I always have to stop and take photos of. There are impressive yard sales. There is a strip mall with Borders and Target. There are hardware and computer stores for Bruce to haunt while I spend three hours drooling over the quaint items and lovely displays at Farm Chicks. It's my annual shopping binge (there are no stores in the Flats). Here's hoping Jinx doesn't drive our house-sitter crazy with his in-and-out compulsion.

Way to go Canucks! (Jeez, you guys make me sweat!!)

I am so bad. No painting and I even had four days off. This sewing fever must pass. Now it's back to school for four days. Learning lots though. Soon, soon...I have lots of ideas.

YaaY! ! Canucks

Never mind that I went to bed in sheer exhaustion (learning is hard work) after the Hawks made that last minute goal. I woke up to the good news when Bruce came to bed. Too close boys. Hawks, thanks for a great match.

Now I'm just sad

Doreen's team 24x24 SOLD

The Canucks lost to the Blackhawks last night and the Canadian women's team just lost to the U.S. women's team in the gold medal match. Argh!!

T is for turkey

We have lots of wild turkey around here. I like how they are so pre-historic looking. I'd like to do a painting some day of the turkeys and big bulls hanging out together at Coy's Ranch.

How about those Canucks!

May day

My daughter was down for a visit. We shopped, gardened, watched hockey (go Canucks!) and got crafty. We made tyvek wallets (shown) and beads. It was great.

If you want to make a tyvek wallet, look up the tutorial on youtube.
