Winter camo

The dogs that were so conspicuous in the warm green weather are harder to spot now. -18 C this morning. I am having trouble keeping my hands warm when out dog walking. My left hand (the pinkie and ring finger) has scar tissue that is very susceptible to cold weather. It get very cold (almost frozen) even with an acrylic glove stuffed inside my heavy thinsulate gloves. Anyone have any good suggestions to cure this? Short of staying inside!

Your dogs are gorgeous, Paula! They do make those small heat packs that you can carry in your gloves. I know Walmart sells them. I'm not sure how they work as I've never tried them but I have heard that they do work well...

Ginger powder. Put some inside your gloves even down in the fingers and when your hands start to get cold clap them together or 'work' them somehow. Works in socks too. Maybe better than in gloves because your feet are always moving.
