Proportions

My elegant art friend Faye sent me a link about proportions.

I am going to try some of their ideas with a little tailoring

And art
 Canasta

and finally I prefer this
 to this

I really like O'Keeffe and Cher, but I prefer O'Keeffe's strong, weathered, natural face to Cher's overly manipulated plastic surgery. Women shouldn't look like they have been left in the micro-wave.

LOL @ left in the microwave! Cher is an icon, and her look works for her, I think - but not as a model for me! I, too, am more inspired by Ms. O'Keefe.
Love your painting, "Canasta". Just the word brings back so many fond memories.

I had to chuckle over over your Cher comment, I agree, no one should look like they've been in a microwave!
Also, I see a big difference in that second picture with the dress hemmed a bit. Looks great!

Hi, Just went to my blog and there, unexpectedly was your comment.

I am a year into this blog world. While I enjoy it as a way of documenting our little valley, I have been somewhat surprised at how much I enjoy the comments. So thank you very much for taking the time to post one. And thanks for letting me know that Jack is not the only pea-eating dog in the world.

I came here to your blog, and loved it. Love how you are not afraid to put yourself out there in words, pictures and paintings.
