I quite liked this stretch denim dress that I found in a thrift store but it just wasn't generous enough in the hip area for my generous pear shape. I decided to take a page from Sally at
http://www.alreadypretty.com/ and try layering a dress over a dress (or in this case a knit skirt). I'm kinda liking it.
Dress, skirt and boots, all thrifted. Tights from We love colors. Accessories, accumulated over the years.

This combination of dress over skirt worked really well! And I like how you've accentuated your slender waist (lucky you!) with the belt.
Yes! Great idea, and I like the bright tights for accent/fun. Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday. Love your new painting too.
I like it, layering a dress over a dress is very clever and i love you blue tights!

Love the denim dress over those tights.
i love chemise dresses, yours is beautiful! i also have a black dress and i layer it with pants. it's a great idea to layer it with an other dress. the blue tights i love it!
What a great way to get around the too tight issue, you look fantastic in this outfit! I love the colour on your tights and necklace, and the belt just give you a perfect waist! Well done!
Fabulous dress! I love layering skirts and dresses under other dresses. The turquoise is awesome with this outfit.
I saw your comment that you'd been here in town. Drop me an email next time you're in Victoria and we'll have some tea and maybe hit a thrift store!
That is a great tip - wearing a dress over a skirt - and it looks great on you. I love the flexibility of today's styles so we can really be creative. And I just bought tights of a similar color! Getting on the teal bandwagon!
Very nice layering. I like the contrast of the denim details with your simple skirt.
Great idea - you look fantastic. And I love your neckpiece!
You look fab in this outfit. Great styling. I adore how you pose. It always makes me think of Wonder Woman--powerful and strong. The necklace is the perfect touch.
