I shake my head over the bridezillas that have to spend thousands on their wedding day. I didn't spend a lot on either of my weddings because I did not have it to spend. A friend made my dress, I made the headdress and the flowers came from the farmer's market. Family and friends made their way through country roads and over a stream to be there, god bless them. But the sun shone that morning and it was a terrific day.
Last night, I asked Bruce if he could extend the contract for another year. The answer was yes.

P. S. Congratulations on 13 happy years and a handshake agreement to go another one! LOL
Yay! You look so happy, Paula. I agree with you on the huge, expensive weddings. I think you can have a beautiful wedding for a pretty reasonable (cheap) amount. I can't understand the need/desire to spend a fortune and end up with a wedding that isn't as nice as one that was way more simple and elegant on a shoestring. My brother-in-law is getting married on 8.21...I believe I've heard that they have spent $100k. And of course, she doesn't work so it is all coming from his years of working and saving. Were I him, I'd have had to put my foot down.
