Basically Batik

I have had this dress for years and love the fabric but the style is not so flattering. So out with the scissors to trim the hem and sleeves...

A belt and a turqouise necklace for summer....

A black underlayer for cool weather.

The shortening of hem and sleeves and hem make such a difference! What a terrific look you have now. Thanks so much for linking up to Visible Monday : >

That dress is so cute and I love that you styled it in two different ways for each season!

It's simply amazing how adding a bit of definition with a belt and shortening the length can give an old dress new life. I like the contrast between the summer and winter looks, although summer is my favorite look here.

I love your shorter dress so much better, and the touch of the belt is fantastic.
Could you make the photos bigger???
I would love to see you in all your splendour, dear friend
