What I wore to the reception for Pynelogs annual artist show. A good time was had by most! If you weren't there, you're square.

Is that a belaying pin in your pocket or are you happy to see me?

So, I found this little skirt at the thrift store....
It had some cute details. I took it in about 4 inches with darts at the back.

I wore it with my new favorite t-shirt. I may have to wear this to my art opening wednesday night.

Oh yes, and Bert....nearly forgot Big Bert. he's the guy that would throw you off the pier for rough housing and pull you out by your ear.

Abstract thought

I had a request for an abstract so I made an abstract. I really like abstract art but it is so Hard!  And probably good for me to tackle because if forces you to think about design...you can't be carried by subject matter. The really good painters know this, (I am thinking of O'keeffe and Bateman).

Rats, I had a title for this last night, a fairly decent title and now it has slipped away. Any suggestions?

I am considering holding some afternoon workshops in beautiful downtown Canal Flats. How to make and use stamps, gelatin prints, rust paper, collage paper. Would anyone be interested?

Remembering Gene

Gene Kelly is my favorite dancing actor or acting dancer. That grin could crack a nut. I loved the masculinity and athleticism of his dancing. He beat Astaire all to hollow as far as I was concerned. Plus he was much cuter.

Not only could he dance, he could dance on Roller skates!
