I am also trying to bully my sweet husband into tilling the garden where the weeds are now a foot high so that I can plant. The locals say not to plant until the snow is off of Mt. Greenwood. Well, the snow is gone and the lilacs are in bloom. I am about 3 weeks behind schedule and if stuff doesn't get planted soon it will be frost time!
This is my little goddess shrine hanging in my yard. I am also trying to hang a windchime in every tree, to deter bad spirits and just because I love the sound of them tinkling in the wind.

Above is my collage "Red Mountain". I like working with texture and color.
On the right is another collage based on the old photograph of victorian women semaphoring. They are spelling out "YES".

Both my girls are in Thailand for the month. I hope they are having great fun and will stay safe. I miss them. They are both currently living in Yellowknife. The painting on the left was based on a photo from their youth.
Wow, the computer is uploading photos quickly today. So, I am going to throw a few on here. Usually it takes much longer than my patience will allow. Artists, this website is pretty, easy to use and a great way to show your work. This is a watercolor of Shiprock in New Mexico. It rises mysteriously out of the landscape, very intriguing.
These are from my cowgirl series.
I'd better get busy pulling weeds, doing homework and painting.

It has been beautiful the last few days, warm and sunny. The grass (and weeds) have started to grow like crazy. Must get gardening, can hardly wait for July when the strawberries ripen.

The painting is one of my cowgirl images. I like her joyous spirit.
This is a watercolor near the Lake. The dead tree is were the eagle usually sits, scanning the marsh for food. I should be outside painting instead of fooling around with this computer. I haven't figured out how to make the layout pretty!

This is it. I have just stepped into the world of blogging. I am inspired by Kay Cox's blog and thought that I would give it a shot. I like looking at artists blogs and hope that people will enjoy mine. This a photo of the shooting stars that have just bloomed in the valley. It has been a long, cold, snowy winter and I am so glad that it is spring! I will post some of my last year's paintings as I haven't photographed this years yet.
This is a watercolor I did last summer called "Takes Some Shadow" based on the haiku by Issa.
