I made this dress because I love the fabric and the batwing pattern but I wasn't wearing it. So I added a higher button at the neck to make it sit up on my shoulders better (it tended to slide back) and shortened it.
Yeah, I might be wearing it now.
And I am pretty pleased with my new glasses from clearly contacts for $52. Score. And they are very comfortable.

Fabulous alterations, dahling! I think you'd better be wearing it. It looks so cute! Like the new specs, too.
I do like those glasses! Very cool. Thanks so much for linking up to Visible Monday : >
That is a really gorgeous dress you are wearing.

Thanks Elizabeth and Patti for the kind comments. And welcome Mis P! Glad you like the dress.
I do like your jacket and shortening the dress made it perfect!
Wherever did you find glasses for this low price? It is amazing how much difference adding a button made--it took the look from a dress to a quite wonderful tunic. I'm here from Visible Monday.
Thanks Debbi and Terri, I emailed you about "clearly contacts" the place to order the glasses from.
I love that beautiful paisley pattern and it looks fantastic belted and with the tights! FIERCE! Thank you for checking out my blog. I am your newest follower. Can't wait to see more! Kiah
Wow you really changed the 'mood' of the dress ! Looks great with the black tights. I'm about to purchase my first set of glasses that aren't from the dollar store ;)
Thank you so much for your comment. I would be so honoured to count you amongst my followers.
Have a lovely Tuesday.

Welcome Kiah and thank you Mary.
Your addition of the button at the neck and raising of the hemline were inspired but simple ideas to save this garment, and I like how you have paired this dress with black tights and belt. You look great! I also enjoy seeing your paintings. Thanks.
