Black and White and an Easter Bonnet.

I made this blouse this weekend and I am rather proud of it. Love the print. McCall's pattern 5630. I had to add an inch to the sleeves to accommodate my "bingo wings" (sigh). I took it in at the shoulder and let it out at the waist as I become more "Pear-like" as time goes by (laziness and bad habits--I have a corn chip addiction.)

Once more with a chapeau and saddle shoes.

I like the blouse too. I think it is very cute especially I like the hat look with saddle shoes.. Those saddle shoes bring back memories. I didn't wear them but the girls from my neighborhood who went to Catholic school had to wear them as part of their uniforms. I wore loafers, I went to public school.

Me too, really liking the blouse. And the saddle shoes, a great touch. Thanks for linking up!

I love your hat! It goes so well together with your black-and-white outfits. I think sometimes we need a hat not only for protection against the weather but also to put a gloss on our usual appearance.

What a beautiful blouse, you look so pretty and a vision of spring in those outfits - I especially love you in that hat!

It's such a pretty blouse! To be fair, if you *only* need to let out the waist you are in good shape. When I do pattern I need to s start with one size on top and switch over to next size from waist downwards. And I hear you about the extra inch for sleeves (sigh).
Your outfit is just lovely, and the hat is a nice glamorous touch.

That's way too much sewing for me, but it's a beautiful blouse. And I like both outfits - the shoes, red sandals, hat, they all look good!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I wasn't sure about the hat but it seems to get approval.

So cute!!! You are justifiably proud of your blouse. So of the moment, and you show just a couple of the many ways to wear it.
Hope you're getting out of your recent funk ...looks that way!
