Happy Lincoln's Birthday

I know I'm a day late but I was under the weather yesterday. I am a "Land of Lincoln" girl. Dad took us to nearly all the Lincoln sites and monuments when I was a kid and I have read several biographies about the man. I have been to New Salem were Lincoln grew into a young man. In college, my buddy and I would bike out to Lincoln's father's farm. When I lived in Springfield, the gallery I worked at was part of the old Lincoln-Herndon law offices. It always felt like I could turn a corner in Springfield and walk right past Old Abe. I have always admired his ambition and appreciated his humanity.

As another Land of Lincoln girl, I salute your tribute! (poetic, eh?)

I visited all those sites as well - and went to grad school in Springfield... so it's likely we trod the same grounds.

Happy Birthday Abe!
